The first time we visited the Island of Vieques, we didn't know much about the island, except that it was a small island off the eastern coast of Puerto Rico. We wanted to have a rustic and relaxing vacation in a place that has been untouched by the mainstream tourism industry and Vieques seemed to promise that feel. When we arrived the constant ticking of time seemed to slow down. Instantly we fell in love with the freedom that Vieques breathes and the beauty that surrounds you.
In Vieques, there are no stop lights, horses run wild, you can pick a mango from a tree on the road, the beaches are breath taking, on the warmest day there is always a fresh sea breeze to cool you down and the people are warm. This island is for those who love nature, have an adventurous spirit and a free soul.
